I'm currently addicted to Psychonauts. Great adventure game by Tim Schafer (known from Monkey Island series, Day of the Tentacles, Grim Fandango etc). Haven't enjoyed other recent adventures as much since MI2.

Just got Call Of Duty and 007 - Nightfire. Both were great in the demos and I just can't wait to play them (after CoD, what do you say Drake if I join your clan?).

Edit - the games don't install ... well, Cossacks: The Art Of War and the Demo from TrackMania Sunrise will have to do...

I've actually gone back to playing Zanzarah. It's a Pokemon type game using Fairies.... but don't let that put you off! It gets surprisingly complex a bit later in the game (i.e. once you get access to a few different types of creatures and the different types of spell), and it sure is addictive! Plus it looks just gorgeous - nice colourful landscapes and the graphics have plenty of character.

In these times of RPG drought, it's worth tracking down (e.g. flea-bay).

Yes, quite fun. I suppose I'll hardly finish it before Oblivion comes out.

Don't laugh, but I've picked up Wiz 8 ... I figure that aught to hold me for the summer. I've never gotten a chance to finish it so ...

@Dani - The full game (with expansions) is *that* long??!! Wow.

Currently playing gothic 1 (in chapter 5) and arx fatalis.

Waiting for patch 1.2 till i start playing Dungeon lords and waiting to see what the first patch for Boiling Point will be like and possibly if it is good enough I will play that. If neither are patched by the time i finish gothic and arx then I am restarting BG2:TOB as I never finished the expansion the first time through it (got bored).

@sam the tiger - If you liked the Might and Magic series (prior to 9) you'll like Wiz 8. This game is, obviously, a labor of love. The attention to details is very impressive, and the game plays very, very well. There are some 'glitches' ... some of the combats are insanely difficult (can you say "Arnika Road"?) ... but I am having a *blast* with this one.

This is NOT a short game! Plan on spending over 100 hours on it ... at least the first time through. If you decide to pick it up, stop by the Wiz 8 forum for some getting started hints and tips. Too bad Otter is no longer RPGDot, but _gator and dte are more than making up for his absence.

Come to us, Sammy. Know the ways of the Wizardry.

Wiz8 has bumped MM7 as my all-time favorite game, as well as knocking off Civ1 for "most hours blissfully spent".

You know you wanna, Sammy.

The game it self is extremely long (I guess 200+ hours if you're not trying to go through as fast as you can). Expansions adding another 50+ hours.

I guess very long can mean too long (at least for me), so I've not finished the game yet. This is my third try. However, I think I'll finish it this time :]. With average of around 5 hours per week (I think I spend playing that long in average), it's nearly one year :].
