Recommend me somethin, suckaz |
|
hey, i was wondering what you would all recommend as far as rpg's go, here's what im lookin for....(note: im pretty new to rpgs, forgive me)
Good Online Play - Ability to use on character consistantly, and build that character up, and keep items and spells and stuff, ala diablo II. ive been told you cant do this with some rpgs...oh and as little lag as possible on dialup,
Good Single Player Storyline - Self explanitory
Fantasy world - i'd perfer a world with dragons and such to a post nuclear cyberpunk etc one, please
NOT FIRST PERSON VIEW - i'd perfer above everything third person, but a style not unlike GTA3 would also be accepted
Free to play online - While it would be nice to buy everquest, i cant afford 15 dollars a month without a job, or car, much less a workers permit or license.
if you have any suggestions to throw my way, id be quite grateful, thanks. |

Single Player - Get Gothic, it's one of the best RPG's IMHO...or Morrowind, both have a fantasy setting and support 3rd person view. Gothic is the better of the two.
Multi - I don't play um, so I wouldn't know _________________ = Member of The Nonflamers' Guild =

Sounds to me like NWN is exactly what you want. You might check with someone that has played the game (I haven't bought it yet) in the NWN forums. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

Sorry. No pearls of wisdom in this oyster.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Sounds like he wants NeverWinter Nights
I haven't got it yet either, though it's next on my list. _________________ --

IWD 2 & NWN both got a lots of fighting but still maintain certain amount of story telling...
From reviews that i read, IWD 2 is better as single player game. Quite many people disappointed with NWN as single player game since it stressing on multiplayer & dungeon master options.

Single player - currently Gothic and Morrowind. From older (2 - 3 years old) titles I would recommend Summoner and Evil Islands. No idea about multiplayer, but NWN is pretty popular and fun. Also you could try Dungeon Siege, which is neveredning hack'n'slash adventure. _________________ --=Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=--

Call me mad if you will, but if it's a nice hack'n'slash 3D experiece you are looking for, why not go for Darkstone?
Nowaday's it's cheap as chips, and if you get the patches and download a few custom quests, you have the basis for a top quality fun time |

IWDII is good for combat, NWN for multiplayer. _________________ "It is not that power corrupts but that it is magnetic to the corruptible." |
