Canvas the Castle

Okay I have been PM'ed about 6 or so times since mentioning the Cavas the Castle quest in a different thread. Needless to say I am happy to help, but typing the same info over and over is starting to be bore.

So here it is, the Complete Spoiler...

1. After the Baroness gives you a list of people to talk to, you must talk to them.
2. You must talk to all four people PRIOR to collecting any of the physical evidence.
3. The four people are:
A.
Spoiler:
The Redguard mage lady

B.
Spoiler:
The Imperial male Drunkard

C.
Spoiler:
The Big Green Orc dude ( may be in town )

D.
Spoiler:
The Captain of the Guard ( may be outside castle, maybe inside barracks )

4. Once you have talked to all the 4 people, the quest engine will alert you to find physical clues. Only NOW can you actually collect the clues, prior to now had you found the physical clues, they would not have been added to the Quest journal.
5. The three physical clues are :
A.
Spoiler:
The painting in the West Tower ( from the Private Quarters enter the West Tower behind some boxes, on your left, is a hatch down to the bottom floor of the tower and someone has been painting a painting down there. )

B.
Spoiler:
In the Dining Hall there are paint stains on the rug ( best seen in the back right side of the room )

C.
Spoiler:
And Finally, in the Reguard Lady's sleeping quarters is a lapdesk that you could not get open previously, It can now be opened, and you'll notice it next to a fallen chair.

6. You can now accuse the guilty party, who will confess the whole truth.
7. Report back to the Baroness.

Greatly appreciated. I wandered that castle for literally hours, never thinking to do what one of your spoilers said.

Thanks again.

Noone will talk to me...

Soo.. .I keep trying to talk to the three suspects (in the order listed in the walkthrough), but none of them will talk to me. The only one I can get any info out of is the captain, and he just tells me to talk to the mage. She won't say ANYthing regarding "Gather Clues".

In the meantime, I've seen all the physical evidence, I just can't interact with it. HELP! What's going on?

I can't answer this directly. But my best guess is your disposition rating, try some bribes or play the speechcraft game. Or if your an Imperial ( race ) use your Voice of the King ability.

I dont believe that the order you talk to the people is important, BUT you must talk to all of them and get their stories BEFORE collecting the physical clues.
