How to solve the quest with a guy that knocks all the time?
   

Can somebody advise on this please?

I did threat him, I even tried reloading and going via different dialogue branch.
He says: "OK, OK, I'll just check how I repaired it", and continues to hammer.
There are no other dialogue options left.
