1) Gothic
2) Cancellation of UO:Origins.
3) A Tale in the Desert. MMORPG with not a lick of violence, and the most original story I've seen in a while.
5) Morrowind
6) Asherons Call. Only MMORPG I know that adds Weapons, Armor, items, landmasses, quests, and most importantly StoryLine and Content into its patch EVERY SINGLE month, for free (in EQ, these would be called expansion packs, hehe). I've been playing for 2 years, this is a LONG time for someone with short attention span. Reason I stay is because each month is different. Its like importing your character to a new add-on ea month.
7) Morrowind. They went all out on this site

As I am preparing a feature about the CRPG of the year from the editors' point of view, I'd like to hear your picks for the following categories:

1) CRPG of the year
2) Biggest Disappointment
3) Best independent project
4) CRPG/editor that offers most for being creative
5) Most anticipated CRPG of 2002
6) Most innovative MMORPG
7) Best site from a publisher/developer

Shoot them at me

May be too late to get my list out, but here it is anyway:

1) Throne of Bhaal... yes I know it's "only" an expansion, but it was a terrific one.

2) Arcanum

3) Gothic, although it MAY not have been out in 2001 except in Europe

4) Whoops... I'll pass on this, since I'm "editor illiterate"

5) Morrowind, without doubt

6) I don't do MMORPH's since I tried EQ, and danged near lost my life. My real life.

7) Again, don't have a good response so will leave it blank.

1. Game of year: Wizardry 8 (others: Summoner, Arcanum)
2. Most disappointing: Pool of Radiance 2 (Evil Islands a close second)
3. Independant: Avernum II (Runesword II is ok also)
4. Best Editor: N/A (I don't use editors)
5. Most Anticipated: Morrowind (Dungeon Siege is another but realtime combat; blechh, Summoner 2)
6. Best On line game: Dark Age of Camelot
7. Best website: Sir Tech's Wizardry 8 page.
