I killed the "bad guys"; but I get arrested for it |
|
Ok, I killed the "Bad guys". But as soon as I start walking around town some armed guards run up to me and arrest me for "breaking the law" and since I don't have 4040 gold on me I get arrested and do "hard time". When I get released from jail, a screen shows up and I loose points in most of my skills. This can't be right. I've tried just killing the guy on the first floor (4 or 5 people are down the stairs) and the result is the same (although the fine is less; 2020 gold, don't matter, cause I still don't have it). Is this the way it is suppose to be???
The quest to wipe out the five bad people (smith, thief, etc.) given at the fort seems to be something to do towards the end of the game. There is no way that I can wipe these people out now with my 54 point sword skill and no magic to speak of. I forget what level I am, somewhere in the teens. This seems to be almost impossible to do, cause they all gang up when I attack just one. Is there a trick to this quest, other than brute strenght, high sword skills, and at least a little knowledge of some deadly spells?

Well, I did this a while back, when I was a level 7. I was a redguard knight, I used my adrenaline rush and used my sword and killed them all in one hit. This is an easy quest. trust me if your in the teens then you should be able to handle this. _________________ Nothing is impossible... for me!!

Do the old duck-n-run... Start combat next to the door. Hack/cast profusely. Concentrate on one guy and do your best to kill him (I think they heal up some). If you're getting beat up, click on the door. Heal up and go back in- they'll be waiting for you, minus the dead one. Repeat as needed.
One hitch to this trick- make sure you have a spell or potions or something to do your healing right outside the door cuz you'll have a bounty on your head making it expensive to walk around town. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

This is my "unholy" trick to finish that quest: go inside, bring down your sword onto the first enemies head you meet, that way everyone inside will rushing to you, when get bad kicked, quickly face the door and run outside, rest out to heal yourself (use Ravir's bed if you want), then go inside again, quickly waves your sword around, when get bad kicked, run outside to rest out, do the same until you whacked everyone inside the house.
OOps dteowner you post faster than me _________________

That's OK! Some hints are so good they should be mentioned twice...
BTW, Max, our friend Omen must be much better at combat than you and I. I had a heck of a time with those guys, with a character somewhere around level 7 with long sword skills in the 50's. I'm even playing with the Lilarcor talking sword mod, so my weapon is probably a little overpowered to boot... _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

Well, thank you for the comment dteowner. I really am telling the truth, I was level7 or 8, I don't remember, and my long blade sill was in the 50's. I killed these guys in about one or two hits. NO trouble at all. _________________ Nothing is impossible... for me!!

I never doubted you, and it was intended as a compliment. I come from the turn-based-combat side of the RPG house, so my skills with realtime hack-n-slash are, shall we say, lacking... _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

You must kill those guys and get back to the person that gave you the quest.
You have a bounty on your head and guards are after you. Stay away from them.
The guy that gave you the quest wil take the bounty of your head. _________________ The original RED poster (retired now)

Here's a hint... As soon as you get to the castle use a levitation something and levitate to the door. As soon as your inside, you wont be attacked. Find the guy that gave you the mission and the bounty is off your head. _________________ Nothing is impossible... for me!!
