Only two more days. My anticipation sure has worn off a few months back since just about everyone in the forum has already played and finished the game.

I haven't played it.

I'm sure there will be more people coming to these forums to talk about the game once it gets on the shelves.

From what I hear the game goes on shelves the day after the ship date, which means you can buy it on the 29th.

On the EBGames website is a 10$ mail-in gift voucher, valid until 11/15/03. The rating is "M" for "Blood, Mature Sexual Themes, Use of Drugs, Violence".

I too felt let down at the long delay. I can only stand so much MWD, so now I can't wait. I had preordered from Amazon. I sure hope they are on the ball.

Gothic II came out today here in the upper midwest USA, but, last night the grandkids told me they want to get it for me for Christmas. Do they realize what this means. Do the math. Thats almost TWO MONTHS away!! Now what am I suppose to do for two whole months. Looks like a trip to the closet to see what kind of games I have lying around. It makes me want to cry

Just picked up Gothic II in Gaithersburg, MD. 3 CDs (no jewel cases...booo!) and what appears to be a much more comprehensive manual than Gothic's. Sadly the internal print is not in color.

On the plus side, I really like the box art, especially compared to the UIX-ish European version which I wasn't a big fan of.

Game appears to be version 1.32.0.1

Hrmm.. I think my version is 1.31 if I remember correctly.. & months for 0.01 difference in version..? Agh. Let's hope that puny difference is all the game needs to make it polished!

Yep. UK editions were 1.31. So it does look like there's an update. Probably fixed all those journal-in-German errors, but who knows what else? Hopefully PB will offer an update for those of us that got the June 13th release...

BAH!!! Called my EB today, said it was gonna be in but the truck hadn't arrived yet (I called at like 10am, lol) and told me to call in a couple hours. I just called, and after convincing the guy who answered this time it was not a PS2 game like he thought (don't ask me why...) he checked and said the shipment wasn't gonna be there today anymore. So I have to wait until tomorow Why can't the shipments ever get there on time!??! always happens.... Oh well.
