I was trying to steal the Dreugh Cuirass (needed money) from Ranli Oril (?)
the trader in Suran. This didn't work out the way it was supposed to. I was caught and he started attacking me. I panicced ... and pressed F5 and
screwed up. My other saved games are weeks earlier in the game.
Is it possible to make the trader chill. To make him forget this little
incident. Thx =) |

Maybe you can try leaving and buying of the bounty on your head by the thief guild. I hope he chills then, because the bounty on your head is gone. _________________ The original RED poster (retired now)

Pay the bounty. Or keep the cuirass and don't visit the shop again!
Aside from the Thieves' Guild, you can also talk to a guard about paying the bounty, but drop the cuirass off somewhere first as they'll take it off you when you talk to them. In fact they'll confiscate anything that's stolen!
If the guards attack you on sight (unlikely), either leave the area and talk to a different set of guards elsewhere, or turn yourself invisible/chameleonic/sneak/whatever so you can activate a "talk" mode before they attack. _________________ Charlie Dobbie

You mean you can't find a guard? I think in Suran there's one in Bonemold wandering around up the hill by the mansion at the "other end" of the town. _________________ Charlie Dobbie

There's a "calm humanoid" spell... I think it comes in scroll form too if you're not a magic-user. That ought to work.
You can also just leave and avoid him for a while... I don't think he's essential for anything.
And make a named save every play-session! |

kill the trader, drop the items you stole on the ground, go to a guard and pay bounty, then pick the items back up _________________ Never argue with a nOOb, First they take you down to their level and then they kill you with their skills |
