Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion (XB360) - Reviews @ GameDaily & |
|
GameDaily and Games Radar have posted Xbox 360 reviews of Oblivion. The purple prose flows quickly, with GameDaily awarding a score of 4.5/5 and Games Radar going straight to 10/10 with their more-pictures-than-text approach. Here's the first:
Buy this game immediately, and if you don't have an Xbox 360, buy an Xbox 360 just to play this game.

That's it. No fancy words. No stupid paragraph about how Oblivion came to be. I did write a lengthy review, but don't bother reading it. Furthermore, don't read IGN, Gamespot, 1up, or Gamespy's reviews either. It's all going to be the same exact shit, except I'd wager that it's going to take you much longer to wade through all of their unnecessary crap. Besides, the longer you read about Oblivion, the less you're actually playing Oblivion.
...and a snip from the second:
Fortunately, Oblivion is just as easy to actually play. Different analog stick motions combine intuitively with timed button presses to swing your sword for varying attacks. Spellcasters and archers enjoy similarly simple functionality. Plus, this doesn't even touch on the enjoyable mini-games, including lock-picking, stealth action and persuasion. They don't feel like filler.
|

The Elder Scrolls series is renowned for its hours upon hours of gameplay yet the net is flooded with reviews one day after Oblivion's release. Swimming in irony. |

Well, to be fair, a couple of reviewers got the game several days earlier. _________________ Rendelius
