English files needed for playing spanish game |
|
Hi! I couldn't find an english version of the game, so I got a spanish version, but of course I can't read spanish that well.
Can anybody help me with these files, which I need them in order to play the spanish version of the game? The speech is in english already, but the answers I have to pick and the log book and any other information which is written they all are in spanish.
I've found a way of translating these files, and the information comes in english now, but translating them takes a lot of time. So if somebody can e-mail me these files from their computer in the directory where Gothic was installed, I can replace them in my directory and hopefully I will be able to play the game. After I'll check and see that they work allright
I'm gonna explain on this forum how to do it, because I've seen other people have similar problems.
The files I need are not very big, all togheter will be around 8 or 9 MB, which compressed in a zip will go down to probably 2-3MB. These are the files:
E:\Games\Gothic\_work\DATA\scripts\_compiled
Gothic.dat - 3.43 MB
Menu.dat - 99.9 KB
OUINFO.inf - 1.27 MB
E:\Games\Gothic\_work\DATA\scripts\content\CUTSCENE
OU.bin - 2.05 MB
OU.csl - 2.62 MB
The files are NOT on the CD, they are on computer after you installed the game.
I don't think that the file size will be the same as mine (english will be different size than spanish), but that won't be a problem.
Just copy them, zip and e-mail them to me at this adress : robert@ukelectronics.co.uk
Replace E:\Games... with the path where you installed your game. By default I believe is : C:\Program Files\JoWood\Gothic.....
Thanks. |

Itīs rather unlikely somebody will mail you the files. Good luck anyway. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

You don't really need those OU.csl, OUinfo, or menu.dat's. The menus and stuff (except for Journal Entries) will still be in Spanish, but they are set up in such a way that if you've ever played any RPGs you should be able to tell which buttons does what.
Here is where you can find the two files you do need:
