The scroll speed of the combat text can be decreased with "," and increased with "." - You might have to hit them a couple of times before you notice any difference.
I never played any of the BT games but I will buy the full version of DW cos I'm having so much fun with the demo.

Thanks for that - I might give it another go when I get the chance.

No mouse irked me for some reason and although I remember having a great time with BT the text-based combat underwhelmed me. This is more my problem than theirs - they've done an excellent job.
I have to agree with you, Dhruin. To touch on something Corwin said, I really think they should have included some pre-made characters with the demo. Even after scanning the manual, I don't have a very good feel for the proper makeup of a party.

I played for about an hour yesterday, an enjoyed it, but the characters have no personality. You probably need to run several parties to get a feel for which characters are going to be good. I've already decided some are useless, at least at low levels. There's very little strategy, again like the old BT games. I miss not having a map and mouse; I always hated mapping.

Thanks, Jaz deserves a lot of the credit. She's the best.

You know, I was really looking forward to this one, I downloaded the demo and it is so slllooooooowwww!.
I mean 10 seconds between me hitting a key and it registering on the screen. I tried reducing all the options to minimum, no change at all, jsut the same.
I can run Morrowind but not Devil Whiskey, ah well.

Must be some bug specific to certain hardware then. I had no such problem and I can run Morrowind, too BTW they should've already released patch for the demo in case you need one. Give it a try?

Stanthony, as far as I know I am one of only 2 people who had this bug, the other guy was able to solve it by reducing his graphics options, not me, just my luck.
I'll look out for that patch though, meantime, back to Might and Magic 6.....
