Update to my post

I have since been able to play without crashing, on my ME system.
I was in the habit of removing my directcd driver because Morrowind hated it! I left it in and now the NWN 1.21 patch works without crashing.
Other things I have noticed though.. SP has lag, when it used to have none. I also can no long get the intellect devourer to spawn when killing the head gaoler.
I don't do much multiplayer, so no comments on it yet.
Sure seems like playing Rousian Roulet though, with this patch, no insult intended for our Russian friends out there.

Well, I must say that the latest patch are just about as good as any of the others on my system. In sp, 10 min playing, crasch, restart, 10 min playing, crash, and so on. I thought Morrowind was a crasher, but this takes the price. However, my comp has been acting a bit strange since a *used-to-be* "friend" of mine accidently showed it in the floor from his desk. The front is all cracked and several screws flew all over the room. Maybe I need to buy a new one...

Are 1.21 characters compatible with 1.19? In that case Iīll switch back too...

Hmm. I've had no problems with 1.21. Haven't tried the single player with that, though. Multiplaying in stable servers finaly works like charm, if you don't count the ICB. The persistent server I usually play in has a hard-coded reboot every 60 minutes to prevent ICB, with a scripted warning starting at T-5 minutes. Other than those boots it works perfectly, unlike many other persistent worlds I've tried.

Iīm begining to realize that itīs in fact my geforce 3 that has to work overtime. Itīs hot as hell, and when itīs hot as hell, nothing is playable for more than a couple of minutes. Lowering to 16 bits colordepth gives me around an hour of playtime during day, and three-four hours during the night, compared to ten minutes in 32bpp. IRL, that is. So i decided to buy som more fans, chipcoolers and a bunch of other cooling-things so I donīt burn something up. Should arrive any day now, and then I will let you know of my progress.

Have you tested being poisoned or diseased in MP with DM involved with patch 1.21? We found a major bug where the poisoned player would make the whole server crash when the save re-roll occured... Not very pretty. Otherwise I didn't have any problems with SP, or with MP without a DM. Still, 1.21 gave us more problems than we had before with 1.19, hence I reverted to that version.

Patch 1.22 is in BETA now. Here's to hoping it's a little better

That is the best news I've heard in some time! Wendsday (last week) I was in bachelor mode, and played SP until about 3:00 AM ... the lagging was *killing* me. I found it got a lot better when I adjusted to the sound to 100% 2D ... but then I lost a lot of the great audio cues.

Since then I have been at the beach cooling off (no PC) and have been out of touch. With luck 1.22 will be out of beta by the time I can play again This would save me the trouble of reinstalling and patching upto 1.19.

I just use patch 1.19 so far.
I have read your warnings about 1.21 so i did not upgrade farther then that.

There are some people that just patch 1.19 over 1.21 and it worked.
Think it was in the Nonflamers guild.
