Help, really weird "Access Violation" application |
|
Hail,
Strange thing has happened, was wondering if anyone else has experience this or know of anything about it.
My computer is:
Athlon XP 1900
ASUS Nforce 415-D Motherboard
Visiontek Geforce 4 ti4600 128 mb ram 3-d card
Creative Labs Sounblaster Audigy
Muschkin 512 mb ram
Lian Li PC65 aluminum case
Lite On cdrw 24x10x40x
Whilst loading up a saved game, all of a sudden Gothic went to desktop, the music still continued to play and a big window popped up saying the following:
Application Error- Access Violation
GOTHIC 1.08k has caused an access violation at address 004783DEh by attempting to "read" from address 00000070h

You might want to search for a file called dxdiag.exe on your harddisk. It is the DirectX diagnostics tool which might give you some useful info to track the problem (it seems to be DirectDraw/Direct3D related). Usually with this kind of problem, updating the videocard drivers is the solution. _________________ You are standing at the end of a road before a small brick building. Around you is a forest.
