Perhaps other monsters in the group are moving, but not entering your line of sight? Check the progress bar and see if it's moving during that time. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

Yeah if they move out of my line of sight(that light cone on the radar) then my computer stutters. Is that normal? |

Normal. Those monsters still get a turn to move, even if you can't see them do it. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

I got a question about dual-classing. I got a lev 14 mage with a high fire magic skill. I also have a lev 14 priest, with high divine skills. Anyhow, my priest just got the option to get lightning, but he has no fire magic at all. I really want this magic spell (I should've done some better planning, but this is my real first time through the game). So if I let my mage go priest on the next level up, will he get lightning as an option? Then on the next level up I go back to mage? Will I suffer any penalties doing this? |

If your Mage switches to a Priest, then he will not have access to the Lightning spell for a LONG time. For 6th level spells you need 75 from a combination of your Divinity and 10% of your Fire Magic. So when you switch to Priest, you will have minimal (or no) skill in Divinity. So even if you have your fire magic up to 100, you will still need a skill of 65 in Divinity to pick Lightning.
My suggestion is to keep the Mage a Mage, and keep the Priest a Priest. The Fire magic will increase with use. Cast other spells in the Fire realm to help boost it. |

To expand on _gator's comment, classing-switching only works in a few situations in Wiz8. It's always an option if a player really wants to use it, but the game mechanics really make it a bad idea.
About the only place where switching makes sense is if you plan to extensively train stealth. You'd take a level in a class that uses stealth (rogue, ninja, monk), train the stealth into the 90's, and then switch to the longterm class. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

Is stealth like the "best" skill for close combat in this game? Helps you dodge more right? Is it "THE SKILL" of the game? Or is it just mediocre? |

The shift click for targeting all IS in the manual ... as usual, I found it completely by accident after asking the question. Figures, eh? _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

It's good for the classes that have it as a regular skill, IMO. Combat classes can wear so much armor that stealth isn't all that critical. Casters are usually set in the formation where they won't get many physical attacks, making stealth non-critical. The classes that gain the most out of it are the combat types that can only wear light armor (ninja, monk, rogue). Strangely enough, those 3 classes have access to stealth automatically.
I would have to say that there is no "must have" skill in Wiz8. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=
