You can join as many guilds/factions as you want. As long as you meet their requirements to apply for membership ofcourse.
From the 3 great houses in morrowind you can only choose 1.
And that choice is final for the rest of the game - once you have chosen a great house you can't go back.
So choose carefully.
If you have a lot of combat skills, go for House Redoran.
If you have a lot of magic skills, go for House Tellvanni.
If you have a lot of stealth skills, go for House Hlaalu. |

The funny thing is that some guilds hate each other.
I got a quest from the moonmoth fort to kill the four members of the commona tong.
Didn't take the quest, because i want to check the other guild out first. _________________ The original RED poster (retired now)

You can join the House of Redoran in the city of Ald'Ruhn.
Seek out the biggest building over there (it's somewhere on the left side of the city when you enter via the silt strider).
Once inside you'll find a nice redguard lady named Neminda who takes new members for the House of Redoran. |

Mages guild and House Telvanni |
|
I am a mage and a member of the Mages Guild. I also want to join a house, and the Telvanni would be the best for a mage except that the two factions are mortal enemies and absolutely hate each other. I am afraid that if i join Telvanni it will ruin my great standing with the guild. Any one have any ideas? |

Ah yes, she's hard to find indeed.
I can tell you it's far more west of Ald'Ruhn then you think.
You'll get close when you follow these directions:
Use your map, the paper one you got with the game, and take the northwest road out of town that leads to the green area.
At the first crossroads (of 4 possible directions) take the righthand side road.
Then at the next crossroads (of 3 possible directions) take the left road.
Follow that road and you should get really close to that lady with the Guar herd.
I think that when the road ends you're just about there.
Hope this helps a bit, it took me some time to find her as well |
