Surely you'd have to take into account economy, population numbers, industrial capacity, level of training, will to win, standing armies, abilities of leaders/generals, some politics, etc. Simply pointing out that one race gets +5 on a stat means nothing when you compare the rest. Solo combat and a proper war is a whole different game.

gdgrimm is the winner for pointing out that the imperials already won the war you are talking about.

And a spell of charm can only get you so far. Don't forget, people, even those weak to it, still CAN resist spells. Spells are not THAT effective. However, a skilled speechcraft can get you almost anything. Besides, the Imperials have almost every other province on their side, they could easily ask them to join in any war that was being waged.

Imperials are my 2nd race cuz i think they are good too. But as a breton in my skills i also choose mercantile as minor cuz u can get it up to 100 easily and speechcraft mayor. But still i think that using magic to boost your weak skills temporary is handier then having some skills allways high... and in the end it doesnt matter anyway which skills u got cuz they r all above 60 anyway And i thougt that breton's had nice extra's

They do have nice skills, but I feel that they are more suited to like a healer or something to that effect. I would play them for mage more often but I don't like pure mage in Morrowind, and I think the small mana boost isn't worth loosing the Dark Elf badness. Just depends on the person I guess. I usually play dark elves for the coolness factor, and Imperials for the "hey they are human like me, and they are in the Imperial Legion, like uhh....not me" factor.

Yeah when i think about the imperials i thnk about monks or at least having restoration with alteration. They r kind of the good guys in the game i guess cuz they look so much like normal humans

Actually, the thing that makes me think Bretons are monks is the male pudding basin haircut that is bald on top. Typical monk hair style and I haven't changed my opinion yet. I usually do give my Imperial a Restoration skill, I tend to make paladins.

I like Redgaurds and High Elves!

My Aiki-Samurai is Redgaurd
My Glass-Mage is High Elf

Yeah high elves are ok but weak vs breton cuz high elves have 50% extra damage from magic and breton 50% less !

I would play High Elves far more, but their weakness is totally terrible. If you fight a spell caster, you are basically dead without a fight. I wonder why they are weak to every kind of magic energy in existance?
But yeah, for mage/thief/fighter combinations, I tend to play a Dark Elf, and for my beloved paladin class, I play an Imperial. Both are really well balanced.

Oh yeah by the way did anyone of you bought a house from some guy i thougt it was in Haalu near the vaults? Cuz i did for 5000 and he saidit was just a bit north of the odai... I searched for ages there(also with 9999 levitate potions) but couldn't find it. Did anyone of u find it??

Thats a House Hlaalu quest. When you get to a certain stage in the guild, they'll ask you to build a stronghold. Unfortunatly, if you are not in the guild, you can't build the stronghold, even if you have that document.

k thnx! do any of you guys have found a book with descriptions of items and places where you might start looking for it? It's very handy and the items are veeeery expensive. I found some of the items in the book but not all. It's like a quest to search for each one and believe me the items are really worth the search!!!
