| help getting into back door of temple from goblin prison |
|
theres a movable stone on wall at bottom of stairs, but nothing happens.. nor can i seem to get the grated door open to get into temple... the ylsides slaughter me too easy still to go other way
can anyone help me? |

have you installed the patch 1:15v if you have it could be that you are not ready to enter the temple yet if you are at a certain level in the game try starting from a earlier save game and try again those ylsides are very hard when i entered the temple i used freeze time. and invisibility scrolls to get thro if you have agood level of incienerate spell use it its very good but i reckon at this stage of the game you have not incinerate ruins are AAM MEGA YOK IN THAT ORDER. and you could use the speed spell meag movis thats pretty good helps you run past them cheers dave.

What level are you at? Have you done some of the side quests to gain more XP's? Go do some of them first and you should be able to get into the temple. You cannot use the side door the first time you enter the temple, it has to be activated by you after you go there. then you can use it as a shortcut later in game. Also try fireballs on the Ylsides. Need to be able to cast your own, they work great. But need to hit them in the head with the fireball for good results. Hope this helps a little. |

I'm in the same boat: the Ylsides smack me dead in 3 hits and my bow just doesn't do the damage I need.
I am greatful for the fireball/incinerate advice, I'll give it a try. Does anyone know of other methods that can be used to defeat a Ylside when you're primarily a dex/thief character? |

Fireballs definately. 2 or 3 and they go down. As long as you can dodge their attack you'll never have to use any health or worry about getting too close.
As far as the Ylsides and the back door there are only 3 or 4 Ylsides inside the Temple. Use the fireballs on them and your "H" key to drink health potions and you should be able to get past them. Then there are the 2 priests that put up a small fight by the meteor but after the Ylsides they're a piece of cake.
