I loved Gothic. It's what I was hopping
Ultima IX was going to be. Ultima IX is
the most similar game I've played in terms
of story and world detail. What other games
are this good?

There are a great many of topics about this. Most of the good RPG's have their own forum here.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

It's not out yet... but oh man...

It's a non-linear (unlike Gothic...) so there is no end...

Supposedly it's one of the Last Hopes For Single Player RPGs.

AHEM! i believe theres a typo. you were trying to say "whatever you do, don't NOT play diablo, (anyone who says otherwise is inexperienced at RPGs)"

does that sound a little better?

Why did I miss something. I'm only on during work hours. I don't have a connection at home

No, it's just this is another repeat thread where you could throw your 2 cents in and get some posts. You said you wanted to learn, didn't you?

Ah yes, of course, thank you!
As for my two cents: I'm pretty content with playing gothic over and over until G2 comes out. If I get bored, maybe I'll go back to commandos2 (great game).

For me there's really only two options,Fallout and Fallout2...
Maybe if you want to see "Val" you would want to try Planescape:torment...
It contains a lot of text though so if you don't like linear games with a deep story you'd most likely want to stay away.

The dark side numbers swell. Of course, this is a CRPG forum.
