Someone with kingly authority just might have the keys you require, although you'll have to pry them from his cold, dead fingers... _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

You can talk to them through their bars. you can get them to join you without opening their cages. I dont think there is a way to open their cages.
The king has a key to free the queen. |

The King does have the keys. Or you can pick them. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

Or you can just kill their jailer, the Rapax guard right beneath them. He also has a key. (There may only be 1 key available - either king or jailer. I killed the jailer, and when I later killed the king he did not give me a second key, IIRC. Reverse may also be true.) _________________ The world itself shifts and changes and fades to mist like the strings of a minstrel's harp, and mayhap the dreams we forge are more enduring than the works of kings and gods.-Robert E. So , I do need to kill someone to get the key?
I don't want to kill anymore rapax , because I am also one of their Templar.
Is there a peaceful way to get the key?
I am not able to talk to Drazic or Rodan through the bars, either.
And the lock shows " A specific item is required here".
Can I go to AP and finish the game without T'Rang and Umpani?
Just leave Drazic and Rodan where they were?
Thank you guys. |

AFAIK, someone's gotta die.

You certainly can. otter might be able to confirm this from direct experience, but I don't think you can stay friendly with the Rapax thru the rest of the game. Perhaps that will change your current peaceful position. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

Yep, someone's got to die, and it will cost you your friendliness to the Rapax.
You can get to AP with the Rapax being friendly. [@Dte - Don't complete this quest and another one you've already started; obviously you'll also lose some later optional quests and incur a major penalty on AP.] But I'm not sure if you can win as such, because there is an unavoidable encounter with Rapax on AP. This encounter may force combat, which would be consistent with the story line. But then again, maybe not, especially if you have the Rapax mage with you - and this would lead to a new story line I've never seen discussed anywhere. _________________ The world itself shifts and changes and fades to mist like the strings of a minstrel's harp, and mayhap the dreams we forge are more enduring than the works of kings and gods.-Robert E. You dont have to kill anyone to talk to the prisoners! You can talk to them through the bars. You dont need to ever open their cages for any reason whatsoever! Unless you want to kill them. No one has to die at all the rapax camp is meaningless to the game just gives you experience.
Ok if you want them to join you after you listen to them you will turn the rapax templar hostile. Or if you kill any of the rapaxs.
If you dont want to fight any rapax templars... leave that area and take the three things to the rapax castles and ascend right now. You can forget about them.
You will fight the rapax prince another al sexudus thing and rapax commons on the mountain. |

The T'rang-Umpani alliance is worth a bunch of XP. That's the only reason to do it; there's no ending where any of the allies who say they'll meet you there actually show up. This is a part of the game that was not finished.
I've never picked up the Rapax RPC, i imagine it'd be like having Sparkle along and killing the Trynnies...(never tried that, either...) _________________ If thousand-year-old family traditions are so important to you, why do you have indoor plumbing and electricity in your family's house? |
