Star Wars: KotOR Preview at Games Domain

A preview of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (just recently pushed back to Fall 2003 for PC) has been posted at Games Domain. Here's a bit from that article for you:

Fighting in KOTOR takes place in real time, but you choose the attacks you want via a menu, before watching your character perform this action. Valuably, you'll be able to pause the game while doing this to allow for strategy without being done over by the hostiles, and movement takes place in slow motion if you have your menu down, keeping things fair but exciting during an assault. What makes things really interesting is a choice of two companions who join you on your quest and help in battles via your commands and a touch of AI that allows them to attack and defend on their own accord, depending on their personality.

This simply look very interesting. I hope they will add good autopause function which will be near to turnbased system.
