What was second cenematic sequence about in NOTR?

Hi all,

I just started playing NOTR using the english translation mod Cothyso and Co. created. (Thanks again!

)
Unfortunately there are no subtitles for the movie sequences. Therefore the narration as you probably know is in German.
During the hero's first conversation with Xardas there is a movie that shows a dark looking character performing some ritual, and some Water Mages exploring an Aztec looking temple. Can someone else who has played NOTR and understands German give me a general idea of what Xardas narrated in that sequence? I was totally lost.

xardas tells you after the movie the new speech about beliars artifact n the water mages, that bits ment for over the movie, i think thats how it works
