Sucess With Alchemy

I achieved a skill of 60 in Alchemy over the weekend. Which allows me to see upto 4 effects that the components can have.

You can see 3 effects at 45 and 2 effects at 30 I believe.

I don't think it is necessary to see the effect to make potions from it though, but the higher your skill the better chance of success and stronger the initial potion.

Aquiring the Master level tools for Alchemy is a good idea too... I did it by stealing... but I'm sure honest folk can find a way as well. Better equipment will make your potions stronger with greater success rates, as well as being significantsly lighter in your inventory! The names of the tools are in the manual, so I won't go into that here.

To start with Alchemy is pretty random and takes a lot of trial and error. I can offer a few suggestions to help you out though.

When possible try and make potions over just eating ingredients... both will give you skill gain, but successfully making a potions gives you about 10-20 times as much skill per sucess, and you can sell the results back the the vender!

I can offer more later, but I'm tired of writing right now... so ask questions or whatever and I'll drop by later and continue.

Later,
Shaze
