Weapon Dealers quest in NOTR

ok so i found the note and the sword with the "F" on it and figured it was the Fernando dude in the upper quarters. when i went up to him i accused him and then let him go and gave him the evidence thinking he would hook me up in the bandit camp or the pirates or something like when u let the other guys go to get into the theives guild. Problem is now i am in the militia and Andre is asking me to solve this quest. when i go to martin he tells me that it is not enough evidence that he admitted to it and tells me to find more. I have raided his house at night and knocked him out and cleaned his pockets and cannot find the evidence.. WHAT DO I DO PLS

There's nothing you can do. You've solved the quest in that way and you can't turn it back.

Is it game-stopping? Does Lord Andre do ...? I've never played the addon as a paladin yet, so I don't know about his reaction.

Well its like this.. As far as i know you have to complete his quests to move up in ranks as a militia but he wont give you another quest until you finish the first one. so if i cannot solve the quest i cannot get another one right?? im not sure i did not play last night played some halo but ima play tonight when i get home from work

Well, Heavy Militia armor is buyable in the VoM. You don't need to solve any quests for it and to become a Knight you have to free Bennet and that only concerns Lord Hagen and not Lord Andre. So it don't think that's the case.
