HoMM 5: E3 Impressions @ Celestial Heavens

Celestial Heavens is featuring some impressions of 'Heroes of Might & Magic V' at E3. The article has been submitted by former New World Computing (the division at 3DO that was responsible for everything 'Might & Magic') Director David Mullich so should be interesting to find out what one of the old school HoMM devs thinks about Nival's and Ubi's efforts.
The first part of our E3 wrap-up report is actually a surprise. Former New World Computing director David Mullich sent us a four-page long article with the following note: "I thought you and the other fans at Celestial Heavens might be interested in my impressions of Heroes V, which Fabrice Cambounet of Ubisoft demonstrated for me at E3 on Thursday." David's first impressions are generally positive, but includes a few concerns.

Fabrice Strikes Back

The producer of the game, Fabrice Cambounet, has since posted a follow-up to David Mullich's article. It's interesting to see the young Padawan get advices from the old master (sorry, just saw Attack of the Clones on TV). .

quote:

Heroes creator Jon Van Caneghem had long resisted the urge to take the Heroes series from the realm 3D because he felt that technology was not powerful enough to render artwork as beautifully as pre-rendered 2D artwork.

Looking at HOMM4, where is that beautifull pre-rendered 2D Artwork? i just wondered...
