Torsten, what drivers are you using for your Radeon? I am running 7115, and I changed WTableFog to enabled and TableFog to enabled, and no go on the barrier. Did you use any tweakers to enable settings, or just regedit?

Well updated to 7189 drivers and still the barrier dissappears. For like the first minute its there and looks great, then it fades away in about 5 seconds. |

the barrier-visuals only appear for a few seconds and then disappear again. That's perfectly normal on every graphic card.

Itīs the same on my GeForce2MX. I can see all those effects for app. 1 minute, then they fade away.
I think this is normal.

Why do they have the option to "Enable Sky Effects" if it turns off after a minute anyways? I think its a cool effect, and would like to see the sky how it is supposed to be, full of a lightning looking barrier.

the effect randomly reappears once or twice a day/night.
I think this is cooler than to show it all the time. Would have distracted a lot from the cool sky visuals and the "realistic" look of the surroundings... |

Yes. The F/X keep looking spectacular because you only see them from time to time. If they were on all the time, they would wear out soon. |
