survey for thesis

Hello!

First of all sorry for invading this board, but I need your help:

My name is Heidi Wanner. I am a student of computer science in media at Furtwangen, Germany.

I’m writing my thesis about computer and video games at the moment. I want to find out, if there are differences between Americans and Germans regarding their playing habits.

For this reason I have created a survey that can be found at www.tearbook.com. The survey is for people from the USA and Germany.

I’d be happy, if you filled out my general survey, it will take about 15 minutes. If you have the time it would be great, if you filled out my little three surveys about 1503 A.D., Gothic 2 and Far Cry as well, but you don’t have to.

Please tell your friends about this survey. I need many people for this.

If someone has questions about the survey or my work, email me at survey@tearbook.com.

Thanks a lot for your help!
Heidi Wanner

Good idea for a topic, I hope you get some interesting results. I had a look at the survey out of curiosity, but I thought I'd better not fill it in since I'm from the UK (now I feel like the dog-headed guy from the Daft Punk video ) - good luck with it!

Thanks for your help.

unfortunately not many people responded to my survey so far. it would be very nice, if you could tell your friends about this survey.

i know it's a hard thing to ask, since you don't know me. so get to know me and email me. survey@tearbook.com

thank you.

I thought it was well done and easy to do. Only took a few minutes to do.

Be patient, lots of our regulars may not have seen it. With school and RL many don't get to the boards as often as they like.

I forced the members of my clan to do the survey, and some of them want to spread the news to other clans, so let's see...

thank you so much for your help.

it's amazing how nice people are in this forum. i get tons of mean emails from stupid people and people are mean to me in chats and other forums. i start hating the internet because people forget, that someone is sitting on the other side.

so really thanks for your help. you made my day.

heidi.

I hope you don't mind if I post your request on other internationally frequented gaming forums as well, provided you haven't posted it there already.

This is pretty interesting. I'll give it a sticky and fill out the survey.

And again: Thanks a lot! Really, you cannot imagine, how happy this makes me.

Do you know other boards, where I can find Americans as nice as those on this board?

lots of hugs
heidi.

Interesting survey.

Only complaint: I have no internet connection at home, and that was not a listed option for the last question.

Hmm... I guess since I'm Canadian I can't help you with your survey. But, I can suggest a place to take it. Try presenting it on Gamers With Jobs forums. I think that, with your attitude, you will find a positive response there.
