I don't really like anyone that I see now as the next James Bond. I have heard a rumor that Pierce Brosnan thinks Hugh Jackman could do it (remember, that is hearsay), but he looks to scruffy in everything I have seen him in. Although I have only seen him in two films. _________________ Always with you what can not be done. Hear you nothing that I say? - Master Yoda

I heard about Jackman, too, and I agree with Darrius Cole - he did look scruffy in all his roles so far. Even as Leopold.
Another often-mentioned candidate is Clive Owen whom I'd prefer in this case. _________________ Jaz |

Hell, I think I'd prefer to see Clive Dunn playing James Bond.

Who is Clive Owen? What movie did he appear in that makes you lean in his direction as the next James Bond? I will have to look at that movie. _________________ Always with you what can not be done. Hear you nothing that I say? - Master Yoda

@Darrius: I saw Clive Owen in Gosford Park (he played a servant) and The Bourne Identity (he made an appearance as an assassin), he was pretty good IMO, and when I saw him as a choice for the next Bond I had the feeling he might fit.
@Beliarsclew: this is - quite obviously - a thread for people who are interested in James Bond movies. If you aren't and thus have nothing of value to contribute, don't post. _________________ Jaz |

Jude freaking Law, baby! If he isn't being considered, then he should be!
I also think Ewan McGregor would be good. |

So i've decided to watch some films of JB and i found that the best one of this list is: Roger Moore is the best.
But JB movies are so fantasy so ~What is that word~ {You can't enjoy your watching ~Boaring~} _________________ <Sigh>.Time.Passes.Quickly. </Sigh> |

Next year new Bond, James Bond that is will be Eric Bana, we will see how he’ll do.
I like Pierce, probably because his movies are more appealing with special effects comparing to the 60’s or 70’s. then not far behind comes good old sir Connery. _________________ Money - An article which may be used as a universal passport to everywhere except heaven, and as a universal provider of everything except happiness. |

Eric Bana? Wow. I'd say he's a better actor than the rest hands down - I'm just not sure that'll count for much in a Bond movie! Should be interesting to see... |

I think Brosnan is a great bond. He just seems... right, somehow. _________________ If soot stains your tunic, dye it black. This is vengeance.

Oh ewww! I hope that's just rumor! Eric Bana doesn't work for me a bit. Nowhere near handsome enough and not suave or dashing in the least. In fact--outside of his height I can't think of a single characteristic he has that puts your mind to James Bond. I don't think Mr. Bana has a prayer of pulling off the most debonair man in the world. He'll be like... the dork Bond.
I like Hugh Jackman--but not as Bond. Mr. Jackman has an unpolished appeal. He doesn't seem like someone that would be allowed into some of the places James Bond needs to go. |
