First, where can I learn pickpocket? Second, how do you pickpocket, or sneak? I've learned sneak, but still can't walk into homes at night without waking everyone. I must be doing something wrong. I have 30 dex. Any help appreciated,thanks! |

Pickpocketing can only be learned from Cassia in the Thieves' Guild. Once you have learned to pickpocket, there will be a new dialogue option with the named npc's. Depending on your dexteritylevel, you will be able to successfully pickpocket a npc.
To sneak, you must press X unless you changed the key. X is the default key to sneak. Dexterity doesn't affect your sneaking capabilities. |

If you have NotR, you can also learn Pickpockets from Bill in the Pirate camp in the AddOn world.
To go with The Prefect's advice, you have to actually put yourself into Sneak mode to sneak. Having learned Sneaking doesn't do it automatically.
