I only browsed the thread so forgive me if this idea has been presented.

I've noticed that an effective way to show linked headlines is with a scrolling headline. Several large news agencies use this technique though I cannot comment on the technology behind the 'end user' perspective.

All on one spot, after all, an RPG is an RPG is an RPG. I like everything on one spot myself purrsonally ='.'=

As the poll stands now, RPGDot will remain the general hub, offering improved filter options, and MMORPGDot will be the MMORPG site with these filters applied . MMORPGDot will offer more in-depth newsbits for MMORPGs in addition, just like our games sites do.

I prefer all on one site. Because you post ten, twenty or so news per day, it is possible for me to read all of them - just several sentences about MMORPGs that I do not play and whole articles about CRPGs, but I want to see everything.
When it will be 100 news per day it will be necessary to make several sites.

PLEASE open a new MMORPG.dot website.

This is WHY:

I am pissed off today! I hate being pissed off! You know why? Because there is HUGE anti-mmorpg sentiments on this website. Thats why. I dont really feel like hanging around here if this continues. Whenever there is talk about mmorpgs in these forums going on, its always inexperienced talk about how much MMORPGs suck. Its frustrating to see the great majority of news on this website are all about MMORPGs and KNOWING THAT I AM THE ONLY FREAKING PERSON THAT CARES ABOUT IT SUCKS. Either more mmorpg players are needed here or i am going to call it quits, because frankly i am getting lonely and tired of being ignored.

If things dont change, i might just start going someplace else for my news, like GameSpyDaily for instance, or any number of other sites. I play single-player games also but it gets STALE around here when i know that the moderators dont care about mmorpgs, the ENTIRE community doesnt give a shit about mmorpgs, and that the people that are posting the newsbits on the main website COULDNT CARE LESS about mmorpgs. LONELINESS IS A KILLER. I think i might be leaving because this website RPGDot doesnt have HARDLY ANY OTHER MMORPG PLAYERS AT ALL. I could count, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 whole entire complete people that give a damn in these forums, Ekim being one of them, and a few others.

Maybe i wont leave. But maybe i will. It depends. If having an MMORPG.dot newsite attracts other MMORPG players, i will be happy to stay. But as it is, this is where single-player players play. Now you know my complaint and how i feel. It feels empty without other mmorpg players here. Thats all. I need some people that i can relate to, and most of them arent even here.

Relax and take a breather Ammon. There's no need to get angry. A lot of the players on this site started out in single player RPGs and that's what they've stuck with. They prefer apples, you prefer oranges, is that a reason to get angry? I just recently started playing my first MMORPG (ATITD). While I like it, I still prefer single player due to the constraints on my time. I simply don't have the time to invest in multiplayer games and feel like I am getting my money's worth.
Also, you can't blame someone for not caring about something they've never played. Why should they care if they've never experienced it?
Surely there are people on the boards whom you can relate to in ways other than playing MMORPGs. Life is more than just playing games.

Wow! Theres a purrfect example of why I quit playing MMORPGS- It starts messing with my head after a while and making me downright militant about the whole thing. MMORPGs are "all or nothing", and most people do not have time or patience for "all". Purrhaps thats why you see such lackluster enthusiasm regarding them oft times, Sir Ammon. There are many themed sites devoted solely to DAoC and the like, with community and guild info, server status reports, and update info, that are far more in depth than any generalized site about all of them could be. Any site without server status and the other things I mentioned would be a waste of time for a serious player.

Yeah, i hear both of ya. I was a tad... umm... edgy that day. Goes along with my personality or brain chemistry. Anyway, i have thought about it for a few days and decided to change my official opinion to "They Should Prolly Be Together" since it is pretty convenient to get all the news in one place. I mean, isnt that the whole point of this site? To gather all the news on the web about RPGs and put them here? Also, people who dont like mmorpgs can just choose to ignore news about them just like i choose to ignore posts about consoles. All yu have to do is mark that checkbox thingy in that one screen place.
