Training STR really high?

Searched but couldn't find an answer. In NotR I have run out of all possible combinations I can think of (or I need to find more King's Sorrell and dragon root) to increase my STR. Does anyone train up to 170? Thanks very much. I know it's expensive, but I'm almost there...

By training do you mean actually getting an npc to increase your strength to 170?

Been over a year since i played notr but i remember only training to 100 via npcs, and no one seemed to want to train me over 100. I had to use apples/tablets/potions/rings/amulet/belt from there on, and i ended up with about 230 str if i recall right.

Have you tried Torlof? Although you have to be a mercenary for that.

Well, I probably didn't train high enough naturally before I started using the potions, tablets, etc... has anyone made a map that shows locations for King's Sorrell and Dragonroot? 2 more potions would get me where I want to be. Thanks.

Also did you remember to pray in the shrines? Apples will also boost your strenght (every 25:th apple = 1 point of strenght). In addition one merchant in the city had a strenght potion in his stock (the potion guy in the marketplace). Lastly thekla's stew = 1 point of strenght.

Here are the trainers that will teach you strength to 200:
- Bennet: chapter 6, all guilds
- Erol: when you've returned his Old Stone Tablets, all guilds
- Ingmar: chapter 3, paladin only
- Torlof: chapter 6, all guilds

Thanks, Sem and Dez. These 2 posts will get me where I want to be. Didn't think about Ingmar (he'll be a big help) and those herb maps are great.
