Where is Delyn Mandas' father? |
|
I rescued Delyna Manda from Tel Fyr the place with the corprunarium and stuff and she tells me to go see Athyn Sarethi about the location of her father and give her father her locket. The only thing Athyn Sarethi says though is that he is disappointed I haven't seen the high priest and bla bal and fulfilled the nerevarine prophecy which I already did but that is another story. Can anyone get the location of her father Arethan MAndas from Athyn Sarethi? |

He's located in a cave called "milk" west of Ald'ruhn
I'm not sure exactly where but if you look on your in-game world map there is a division between green and grey land Its just along that border west of A'R
P.S. If this helps you then pay me back later with the location of Nalvilie Saren (that's a couple missions from now) I think I killed my only leads and I have no saved games from before I did it. |

Is it some sort of Redoran house mission? I just happened to stumble over her in Tel Fyr and she told me to go see Sarethi for her father's whereabouts
Maybe that's why he won't talk about it cause I'm grandmaster of huse Hlaalu... hmmm |

I'm having this same problem He just won't talk about it. I'm guessing it's probably a bug? I mean, I'm surprised with the amount of missions you can do that there aren't more that don't work right. |

I also stumbled over it,but the other way around....I met her father and he was just blabbering and I saw journal was updated but with a completely different thing.
So I checked Tel fyr and found the daughter and then I was stuck again since I don't get an option for Mandas with that Sarethi bloke...
This was the only reason I connected and found the answer directly...so it's back to milk then I guess.
Hard to describe where it is,but if you make a triangle with bases in Gnisis and gnar mok the third corner would be in the neighbourhood of it I think...
More or less straight west from the lowest square of Ald ruhn IIRC...
It's a cave btw,one of those with wooden doors, looks a bit like egg mines.
Edit:
Now that I've done the quest and have given the amulet to Arethan Mandas I get an option to talk to Sarethi about him.... :/
But like the previous poster wrote, with all these quests it's strange not more are bugged.(did happen with my first char though, the witch didn't work for instance...but with new, this is the first faulty I've encountered)

I guess you've already found it,but in case someone else needs the road and does a search I'll add a description here.
Starting at Ald ruhn between guard tower 1&2,head out and go towards Maar gan.
At the intersection where the signpost shows Mar gan right and Gnisis,Caldera straight, start heading towards Gnisis.
Later you'll reach an intersection with Maar gan,Buckmoth legion,Ald ruhn pointing towards where you came from,Gnisis right and Caldera,Balmora left, keep heading towards Gnisis.(added that signpost since the next has the same direction on Gn and Cal,Bal...but that doesn't have the Moon and all)
Then you'll reach an intersection with Caldera,Balmora left and Gnisis right,go towards Gnisis on your right you'll have a fence and after it some rocks/boulders,directly after them there's a path leading up to your right, that leads to Milk.

The quest is about the 5th or 6th one as you move up the ranks of House Redoran, so if you're not doing that it's not surprising that the quest doesn't work for you. |

You take her locket to cure her father of his insanity for a Redoran/Sarethi Manor quest to become a House Brother so it's like mission #6 or 7 depending on if you use Athyn Sarethi to gain the Redoran Council's support. If you want directions on how to get to Milk, do a search for Delyn Mandas in the forum search tool and you'll find my post from about a week ago. Good luck =) _________________ When at first you don't succeed... cheat |

Well....she sends you to hear with Sarethi where her father is and then you should be able to ask him about her father...
So as it is,I'd say it's a broken quest...it's after all a non linear game,so people are bound to stumble over father and/or daughter...plus there are other houses to join as well.
So either the quest and NPC's should spawn when you join a house and they'd modify it to become a quest for the house you're in or they should only spawn if you join Redoran... |

dang, I'm looking for the Drulene Falens' herd in the third Redoran mission.... can't find it, I did find Milk however, and killed everyone in it, INCLUDING that father bastard I just read about ok, now, how do I ermmm 'resurrect' him so I can be a house brother?
(providing I ever find this friggin herd, weird, I'd accomplished the first mission BEFORE I got it I'm killing things left and right) _________________ <img="http://maestr0.shellfront.org/images/button.gif> |
