Remember fellas. The only "hints" w_man gave us were text-based. Not a screen has been posted - and believe me, a screenshot could be taken without spoiling or giving away the secrect. I'm really starting to think he's taking us for a ride.

You can sneak-a-peek at the prize by navigating to the following url:

And wulf I sincerely hope that you are able to solve the puzzle, 25th December being your B'Day an' all.

Hint: Just because you can't see something doesn't mean it's not there.

That is one mean machine! - who will be the lucky winner, will there even be a winner?

I am finding the corpse every time, i am running out of clues some of which have been mentioned on this thread, it's so time consuming having to restart from early in the game. I have not given up, will try again but maybe a different approach is needed. Thanks for the hint, i understand, i kind of suspected as much.

I believe you Wulf. This is an odd game where strange and inexplicable things tend to occur. A similar thing happened to me back when I was a newbie. I met Milten at the camp just inside the orclands. I assumed this to be their meeting place, but I never saw him back there again. Everytime I play I look for him too. And I will point out that if you type "insert law_armor" in the Marvin console, a set of yellow judge's robes will appear. Why, if there are no judges outside of the opening cut scene? And if it is a judge then I would assume "righteousness" refers to the self imposed variety of law and order as opposed to anything involving the gods. I don't suppose you remember anything about the mission he sent you on?

Hello there muteki13,

Welcome to the boards and this thread,

Thanks for the support, i have a duty to see this through - but will i - ?

Never had that Milten thing, but it rings a bell from certain dialogue choices, *old mine cave-in and find Gorn*? - not sure about the fab four?

Yes, played with the law armour many times as well as the judge, i can barely remember what the old man looked like, as for the mission, i took little notice of his words, i didn't know the relevance of the situation at the time.

I do strongly believe that "power the gods" is directly linked to magic, righteousness relates to the "path" taken, to break the chains of this world (through death) - so he can "come back" alive, - - not sure, any ideas?

Just a suggestion as I don't play Gothic 2 but could this secret be date related - I remeber playing Dungeon Keeper years ago where some levels only appeared when your computer showed a certain day such as Halloween. Could this bloke only appear when your computer is set to a certain date perhaps an aniversary of when the game was created/completed/released?

Just a suggestion

Could be

Wolverine_men made this thread Sun Dec 28. What special day is close to that day?

Although, I think it's a bit more complicated than that, but it could be. As far as I know Gothic have no internet communicator, so if this is the answer it is related to the BIOS clock.

EDIT: OMG! Is this really the answer!? Wolverine_men said: And wulf I sincerely hope that you are able to solve the puzzle, 25th December being your B'Day an' all.

25th December is dead-line!? That is the day after Christmas

This is very interesting.

@Kendrick,

I doubt very much the bios clock thing, it is an imaginative idea, but games that have re-install ability as Gothic does would then have problems maybe. I often re-format my hard drive then re-use the saved games.

@rasmuslarsen,

As i see it, wolverine_men is offering an incentive, a fantastic present for christmas to anyone (not just me) who can solve the cromanin thing, thats sounds pretty good to me.

Six months should be ample time, i'm giving it my best shot, how about you?

Yeah, I went ahead and changed my system date to Christmas (which works if your trying to use passwords that are good for only one day), but I saw no change.

I was very intrigued when I saw this topic. I truly belive that the real Chromanin exists.
I think, that the path of the righteousness is the path of The Sleeper. When you get to the old camp, Baal Parvez says he wants to "Guide you to the right path".
And you can learn magic within The Brotherhood. Worth trying.

But The Sleeper is evil. Both Wolverine_men and Wulf solved the quest being connected to the old camp.
But it's worth a try.
