Ok, let's see here...
Do single player games have as advanced and diversed character build up like MMORPGs like EverQuest? Do many single player games have so-called trade skills?
Are single player games as large as most MMORPGs?
Do single player games have, aside from the ordinary quests, special quests you can get from a GM?
Do they give you the constant ineraction with others?
Do they give you the choice of PvP and such?

Hmmm... I wonder...

- No, they dont have as much useless crappy skills that barely affect the gameplay and combat and just clog up the character development like those in MMORPG's.

- Trade skills? Oh ok, that's DRASTICALLY different from just selling the loot from the monsters you just killed and it adds tons of depth!

- No, they're not as large but they dont have as much empty spaces that force you to wander aimlessly for hours.

- WOW! Special quests! those quests must be MUCH more complex than ordinary quests.

- Interaction? Give me a break, you call saying hello and clicking a mouse to kill other players and monsters interaction? And 80% of all MMORPG players couldnt give a rat's ass about interaction and roleplaying, all they care about is leveling up and getting more powerful.

- PvP is probably the only aspect that MMORPG's beat crpgs.

- I would say that 95% of all the users in rpgdot will agree that MMORPGs are simpler than crpgs.

But... but... hoyp, can't you respect my opinions?!?!
I'm hurt...

Anyway, do you consider stuff like language skills to be just a nuisance? Yeah, screw that roleplay, right? Because we don't want that in an RPG... or do we? It's so hard to decide, isn't it?

Tradeskills IS drastically different from killing monsters and just selling their loot. Of course, you HAVE to actually know what you're talking about to see the differance between them. But, I'll help you out. You see, collecting stuff you find in nature etc. to make special weapons and gain money and levels through that way (NOT killing enemies) ADDS more depth. Can you see it? It's about player interaction, you know, giving players a sort of role in the world.

Special quests adds a feel of VIVIDNESS to the world, you know, you don't have to wade through the same repetetive crap constantly, always knowing what to expect. DIVERSITY, do you know it?

As for interaction, the fact that you CAN talk to people about stuff, trade things, and just talk around while hunting DOES ADD something to the game. You're not alone, and if you shout random things, people WILL notice. I think Ekim wrote something about this before.
Then again, it depends on how social you are. I mean, if you WANT to you can just say hello and keep to yourself, but it doesn't HAVE to be that way.'

Hexy, you're the one who started this whole sarcasm attack.
I didn't say that language was a nuisance though, I actually like to roleplay in most games but people who don't like to ruin the whole experience.
