How do I become a Water mage in TNOR?
   

I tried being a mercenary, a paladin and now I'm trying with a fire mage, none of the first two worked, can somebody tell me what's wrong and what do i need to do

You can't become a Water Mage in Gothic II Night of THe Raven.

water mage runes
   

Just a small side note for you since your now going the fire mage route. Once in the Add-on world you can learn to create the water mage runes. It doesn't make you a water mage but I think that is as close as you will come. I haven't completed the add on as a mage yet but did a quick test run on what would happen in the add-on world with each of the 3 main guilds, pal, merc, and mage. You might not think much of the runes you can create but you can learn and create circle 2-4 water mage runes once you enter the add on world as a fire mage.
