J.E. Sawyer Update

Gamespot has managed to get hold of J.E. Sawyer and ask some questions before he rides off into the sunset. Contrary to some rumours it appears he won't be joining Obsidian and will be taking a break from the industry. This is the unusual answer he gave about his immediate future:
So what is that next something? Sawyer demurred with one of the strangest responses on record: "Imagine a basketball player and a shoe salesman getting together to go on the road with [a] vaudeville show and you should have a good idea of the 'what' factor involved." Sawyer may have lost his job, but at least he hasn't lost his sense of humor.
You can find the article here. While we're on the subject, RPG Codex located this depressing post in the Interplay forums:
I haven't worked on any revolutionary games. It's even arguable that I haven't worked on any evolutionary games. Right now, though, I don't even know of any companies that are currently developing revolutionary or evolutionary CRPGs for PC. There may be some outside of the U.S., but it seems pretty dry around here.

There's no reason anyone should expect big things from me. If you play something great in the future and happen to notice my name in the credits, that's fine. If you never see my name again, why does it matter?
Well...Good luck, anyway Josh!

Best Luck to JE. His interaction with the fans was very much appreciated.
