Game Initially Plays but "Access Denied" Thereafte

I have the U.K. version 1.31 (I'm in Canada, but my local store imported the game). I have no trouble installing and playing the game without difficulty. However, once I save and quit, I can't get back; I get an "access denied" message. It happens every time. This means I have to re-install the game every single time I want to play and then copy my save game directory back in ; not exactly the most efficient method of game playing! I have the latest drivers etc. and am well within the required specifications
Any ideas?
Thanks

Strange.
Try to copy the exe and the ini to another location after a new installation, or maybe even the whole game if you have enough space. Coying should be faster than installing.

Just in case anyone else has this problem (and I saw a few people have, from posting on another site), I seem to have solved it by closing my Panda Anti-virus Titanium program before loading the game. At least, it worked for the last couple of days!

Thanks for taking the time respond with the solution.

Still, you´ve wasted a week of gaming time. You didn´t do your homework, so to speak. Closing all programs, especially virus scanners is mentioned in the 'Known incompatibilities' section of FAQ at the top of this forum.
