...although a game must be playable. It it's too buggy I usually demand a refund.

I personally loved Gothic, and I haven't had any technical difficulties.

About the short ladders: I personally didn't find these much of an obstacle.(I only remember 2,one in the old mine, and 1 of the focus stone missions). You just jump when you get near the top. No short ladder can stop me!

Everyone has their own opinions.

I never had to cheat to get through the game...

Go figure

Bud the world of Gothic is enormous so if somebody can make a game like this whit out bug,: we tolk later.

I believe it's kinda small, I agree, it's TOO easy and well... for me small.

Plus it doesn't live up to "non-linear"... it is very much linear (you must do things in an order) in someplaces, others such as the 'locked' areas found in other RPGs, are few (New mine for one)

And, it has A BUNCH of Spelling errors...

"exiting" trying to say "exciting" on the inside flap of the box... artefacts...

"Artefacts" is an actual alternate spelling of "artifacts," just so you know. I looked it up.

Nox is a multiplayer game. If you complain about it too much I'll duel ya!

So...the worst legitimate complaint you have is "spelling errors"? C'mon!! The game is linear, but have you ever actually seen a "non-linear" game? Even "Deus Ex" (the most non-linear game i've ever seen) had linear missions. Even EQ has linear quests. Quit yer gripin'. If you don't like the game you should find out where the "add remove programs" option, or the uninstaller is for the game and use it so we don't have to listen to you gripe.

Nox has loads of online fun, once you get good.

But, you have to have a 200, or less, ping to be good.

I think Gothic crashed twice on me. And glitches do not a bad game make, nor occassional cheating a pain.

Ahh.. infinite food, hmm, can get stuck in Chat Mode (only way to exit is to shut down GOTHIC through Alt-Tab ONLY or Alt-F4... uhm.

About the Linear issue, true, all RPGs have a little linear quality, but this is more than enough to make it 'linear' and the multiple endings, I haven't finnished yet...

I'm waiting for Morrowind, it's supposed to boast the 'non-linear' title too... but there is an optinial (dang it! I talk about spelling and I can't spell) main quest...

plus the editor comes with it to make it the most moddable game.

I stand by my statement in the Morrowmind forum that if you think Gothic is bad for crashing, you ain't seen nothing yet. There hasn't been an Elder Scrolls yet that didn't die spectacular and horrific crashing death.
