alright i beat gothic, in 23 hours and 17minutes... i was lvl 35, i joined the OC and then after i got the boot from OC i joined the water mages...
now my question ...
is there actually 3 different story lines... or do all 3 story lines end the sameway??... or does the swamp camp and new camp have completely different endings?? |

The story is the same, but the gameplay can be very different. I've beaten the game five times with each time a different approach and it has given me five times the greatest fun! My first time, I've played 60+ hours exploring the land very carefully!

Piranha Bytes Best Player could NOT do It in Under 40 Hours.... so get a Real LIne and come back.

i am serious.. i will take a screen shot of it.. i have it saved just before i beat it... and i will email it to u if u like... once i got to chapter 1... it was pretty easy after that... i spent very little time between chapters... |

oh and no i didnt cheat... there was no point in doin so... i beat up scar and took his sword... witch is 85 damage... made things a bit easier... |

to all who doubt me i have sent my pic to Sveinung it proves i beat the game in 25 hours... it doesnt take 40 hours like someone had earlier said... i am sure it can but it doesnt have to... anyone else that wants too see the proof just icq me.. or email me

Rodimus, you´re not the first person to finish the game that fast. 
The timer is reset when you reload, so it took you 25 hours PLUS reloads. Are you sure this is so much less than the 40 hours mentioned above?  |
