Reall stuck in Fallout 1... *spoilers* |
|
I have done almoust everything, im at the end. I have to defeat the end boss. But I can't really get down to the vault, becouse those mutants with machine guns are too hard, in just some turns they have drained all my hp, (around 100), im level 14. I mean, if there is like 3 mutants, and your alone, how are you supposed to survive when 2 burst with the machinegun kills you?
Another question, i want to join the Brotherhood of Steel, but what do i need to be able to go down into the Glow? What pills do i have to eat to be resistant to the radiation? |

Mutant fighting can be tough but if you are using the turbo plasma rifle you should be able to take one (or two) out in one round (try called shots to the head or eyes). If not try wanderign around a bit more to gain some levels - as Ithink I was higher (although I'm not sure where you are the master is guarded by melee mutants if I remember correctly
As for the Glow you need Rad-X and Rad Away. Taking Rad-X increases your resistance to Radiation (but too much will cause you to become addicted I think. Personally I used Rad-Away as this reduces your current Rad levels and isn't adictive (I think - Haven't played this one in a long time sorry - thinking about it I may put it on my replay list just after the BG series and Planescape)
Hope this helps _________________ "The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds; and the pessimist fears this is true."

Spoiler 1:
You can defeat the Master without combat - there's is a big bomb in the cellar.
Spoiler 2:
You need Power Armor for direct combat - you can find one in the Brotherhood.
Spoiler 3:
Rad-X -> drug dealer in the Hub. Near the thieves. _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild= |

I remember that part- endless reloads for me there. Just like thruout most the game, I ration my action points just right so that I can pop out from behind cover with 1 ap, get off a shot with a rocket or somthing else heavy, and pop back behind cover with the 1 last ap. Also, I usually have an entourage with me at all times. Throw Dogmeat, Ian, that one girl rescued from the Raiders, etc, out as sacrificial meat shields. Theyve lived their whole pixellated lives for this very moment of glory, let them show you how much they care='.'=
How I killed the Big Cheese was weird. If I remember right, i stood way back out of his range and hammered him with all my heavy ordnance until i was out. Then I got up really close, up towards the front there are a few really small "safe zones" where he cannot seem to fire. Repeat the "pop out and unload chaingun into him then pop back" thing.
**Also- I cant stress enough how much the lowly grenade made a difference too before when dealing with multiple Mutants. _________________ “Then away out in the woods I heard that kind of a sound that a ghost makes when it wants to tell about something that's on its mind and can't make itself understood, and so can't rest easy in its grave, and has to go about that way every night grieving.”-Mark Twain |
