Grafan look so far as another Dungeon Siege to me, but I guess that at least there must be some more info that just a few screenshots to judge that. |

For starters Grafan is First person while DS is Isometric.
If you refer to the "Action RPG" style, then you may be right. _________________ "You may win a thousand fights, but you can only lose one" (Zaknafein to Drizzt - The Dark Elf Trilogy.) |

Well I hope it will be continued, because the end of TOEE is not full... I mean the story can be continued... defiling Zugmoy (sorry for my version of her name, I just don't know how really it spells in English! ) can be the end of one part but not the end of hole story! Don't you think? _________________ @Aka Negovan, aka Her_O@

What about the Bard's Tale game coming out... I've heard the original Bard's Tale was based off of D&D Games... |

The new Bard's Tale will be a BG-Dark Alliance Clone (It uses even the same Engine). You have to play a lonely Bard who is able to summon some Critters. Last thing I heard, was that even the Inventory Management will be automated (You will use always the best Weapon that you have) - Sounds to me like a no-Brainer. Oh, your Dialogue-Options will be "accept", "decline" and "say something cynical". No "D&D-Style-Game" to expect here.
The old Bard's Tale Games had a Party of seven, and the classic six Fantasy-Races. The Spell-System was Mana-based and you had 4 (later 7) different Mage-Classes. Also you could play Monks and Half-Orcs before they got into the D&D Core-Rules, you could summon a lot of Monsters (although they took one Slot in your Party) and you could even charm your Enemys and keep them in your Party. The BT Paladins had no Magic and instead of Rangers they got Hunters (no Magic but Critical Hit Attack). I loved the BT-Game back in the Days and it is very sad to see them toned down for the casual Gamer. _________________ "Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule."

Yeah... when I read that you could only summon allies to fight with you instead of actually having a party it turned me away... oh well...
Thanks for the information Schattenherz! |

Yup. That's what I meant.
Btw, isn't the new Bard's TaLe only for consoles? |

IIRC it will be first released on Consoles and then ported to the PC. The Press-Releases are always "(insert Hype here) for Consoles and PC". _________________ "Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule."

Hmmz.. I don't really know if unofficial games count much.. but I am really waiting forward what the Dragonlance - Glory of istar has to say about it... is Mod to Baldur's Gate 2 and continues after BG2 - TOB... anyhow the project is long and there seems to be too few makers of its size... If anyone wants to take a look http://www.dragonlancetc.com/?page=news there you go..
Anyhow I personally think that is best idea for new good cRPG since none of the companies will make so "stupid mistake" that to make 2D/3D RPG again since they can't port it from/to consoles and make profit out of it..
Stupid as it sounds I think for next really good PC cRPG we will have to wait damn long and these 3D crap RPGs won't much help... _________________ -72 Let the Legends Live in Classics!! |
