solving graphic bugs with geforce |
|
What's the recommended nVidia Detonator driver version to use for GeForce users in Gothic? And are there any useful "Z-Buffer" related .INI file commands like there are for Gothic 2?
Reason I'm asking is because I am getting quite a few graphic texture related bugs, similar to what I used to get in Gothic 2 before I tweaked things. Can I do that same tweaking here in Gothic 1, or maybe should I use a different driver version for the video card. The OS is Windows XP with DirectX 9. |

Use the oldest driver which supports your card. 30.82 should be okay. 12.41 (or 42) also.
DirectX9 is also no good idea. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

Unfortunately DirectX9 is one of those things that once installed can't be removed. 30.82 is kinda old, thats from DX 8.0 days isn't it? So might that cause conflict with the DX9 which is installed now? |

Oh, and my video card is ancient. GeForce 1 DDR. When I first got this, Detonator driver versions were still at 3.xx or something. |
