You're above the minimum specs quoted so I don't think it would be a problem if you're prepared to run with low -ish graphics settings. |

With Win98, if you hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and end task on everything but explorer and systray, you free up resorces and might be able to get 'medium' settings. Just so long as you're not online (cable or DSL) you shouldn't need any anti-virus or software firewall going. If, by chance, that makes the computer unstable, just reboot and play will the 'low-ish' settings. _________________ Jesus saves. Allah forgives. Cthulhu thinks you'd make a nice sandwich... |

You're quite fine. I started the game with a p2-450, gf2 mx and 256mb of RAM. Ran it in 640x480 with everything on (except bump mapping as the gf2mx doesn't really support it). And it ran fine. With the RAM you have you should have enough not to worry about background apps (well, firewalls and such).
I upgraded to p3-600 and 640megs (total) ram and the ram barely changed anything but the new CPU did make quite a difference. I still run it in 640x480 though. |
