Bows, Archery, Ranged Weapon??? |
|
Will someone tell me how these #@&# bows work? I usually go for range weapons but in this game, I opted out early on because they appear so ineffective. However, I am in Chapter 6 and need to shoot out two switches with a ranged weapon but cannot hit the side of a barn.
My Dexterity is 133. Used my remaining points to up myself to Master in Bow and Crossbow, which is now each at 100% skill. Shooting at these switches does absolutely nothing. In fact, none of my arrows or bolts gets used up. You would think with all this firing I would have used up some ammo.
So does anyone have any advice … should I be doing something other then clicking the left mouse button or what? Can’t continue until I get across this abyss.

Tip: Start saving XP-points for later on in the game, you will find a sword which you must use to finish the game. so save XP points for 2 handed combat en a big amount of strenght. |

If you can´t get this shooting thing under control you have to cheat. Activate Marvin Mode, activate the waypoint net (I guess the cheat was 'toggle waynet' or so), activate the free camera with the F5-F8 keys and write down a waypoint on each of the two sides. Then you can easily teleport to the waypoints.
Should be less complicated than it sounds. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

Thanks, Gorath. I guess I'll have to. Thanks for the Marvin-How-To as well.
I did write to JoWood Support and they did respond. Apparently I'm suppose to contact their Sales Partners, US or Europe? The Email is somewhat confusing ... I'll straighten it out eventually.

The problematic part is finding the waypoint on the other side. If you know somebody who can give you a save in which you can access the other side you can simply walk there and write down the waypoint. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

Thanks, Gorath. I do have someone who has completed the game over at Game Boomers, will see what they can do for me.
You've been a big help and I thank you again.
