Would you prefer Super Pickaxe of Life-devouring Agonizing Torment, aka SPLAT?

It defeats the whole purpose.
I tried to modify its name to Orechipper, but Gothic didn't like that much.

Parts 11 to 14 are now up and running. The rest of the focus quests and Xardas's 'riddle'
Included, as promised, is my kung fu screenshot of me vs the Bridgegolem. It's my favorite screenshot. I'm glad the UO tool worked (it doesn't always for me when I press printscreen).
I've even put extra work in on the screen shot mouseover text. Well... sort of.

There was some serious kung fu fighting going on, huh?

Yep. Drop kicked a templar, too.. but he just sort of turned around, looked at me, blinked twice, and chopped me to little Digger bits.

Great, funny story and very novel approach.
I read in another post that you also had resolved to fighting snappers barehanded. Now THAT was an image that made me howl w/ delight. Punching-out some serious snapper boo-tay!
Your having no weapons drawn and outfitted with just a digger's dress, that snapper must have thought it stumbled upon a "stupid meat sac" that would be a quick meal. But it soon discovered that "meat sac hit, hit hard. I bite more now".
Now get on over to that Orc camp, will you? I need more of this story! |

That bites, it would have been so cool if you could've renamed it. I've noticed the same thing when you change the focus of a sword, you just can't rename it!
How's Digger's Quest going anyway? Any luck getting Jackle and co. up to see Gorn?

Haven't had a chance to play in the past day or so. But I will. I've resolved to do my best to complete it before Freedom Force comes out in like a week.
Snapper and Razor AI adapts pretty fast to punches. They get punched twice... back up, and then come at you with the charge attack... and repeat as needed. Snappers and Razors are the hardest 'monsters' in the game.

"Snappers and Razors are the hardest 'monsters' in the game."
I agree. They can outrun you, out climb you, out swim you, and deal lightning fast multiple attacks, disrupting your ability to return blows. Add to this their possessing the best creature AI in the game, able to figure how to get to you even when you are out of reach or not in a direct path to them, and you have one formidable beastie.
They really should be assigned among the highest experience point kills in the game. Trolls 2000 xp? I'd rather fight them any day than face an enraged snapper or razor. |

They are pretty high up in experience points for non-quest monsters. But the fact is... unless you're wearing digger armor... they can hit you a lot but not harm you much. Light guard armor will give you enough of an edge to beat your first snappers without much difficulty. Medium and heavy armors completely negate them.
If I had to rate them, I'd say they were level 10 to 15 monsters for a normal character.
