| Please tell me this isn't a game essential bug. :-( |

I'm in the Sleeper camp and Lester the "tour guide" is showing me around. Well, somehow, he stopped right before arriving at a destination instead of the usual arrival followed by his telling me I have one hour to visit it. We're at the alchemy shop and he's pretty much there but for some reason it's not registering. I've tried walking everywhere to set off some flag, I've tried drawing my sword to get him in combat mode, but nothing works.  I can still talk to him normally and I have the option to ask him how long b4 we get to the place but I also talked to him about joining the Sleeper cult. I am supposed to visit him at his normal spot near the sleeper cult entrance and renounce my gods which will supposedly make one of the gurus interested in me. I'm thinking of joining the sleeper cult, was this game essential? Because Lester is now permaently stuck in oblivion. This is a return to the sleeper camp, I left the sleeper camp when he was like that about 4 levels ago so I don't have a save game b4 I entered the sleeper camp. Do I absolutely need Lester to do anything in the game? (I hope not.) |

Yes, you need Lester to enter ch 2. If he's stuck, not sure what you can do. There may be a way in marvin mode to possess him, get him unstuck and then go back. But you need Lester regardless of entering the sect camp.

Activate marvin mode.
O possesses an NPC.
F8 resets the script of the current PC/NPC.
You can also insert and read the LesterBugFixBook.
Search function and cheat guide can explain the rest.

You can probably patch him up if you ask him how to get that Baal at the entrance to address you (he would start going for the entrance then). But, then again, you would have to pretend that you want to join the sect camp, which isn't all that bad for extra experience points, if you ask me (before you actually choose which camp to join)... |
