If they do make a lot of "bad" changes, blaim the stupid reviewers at for example gamespot. They complain about many of the good things about Gothic, one reviewer even complained that THE ORIGINAL Gothic 2 was too hard. It makes me extremly angry to read their reviews especially since it's obvious that they haven't even spent many hours with the game.

( A lot of people acctually read these reviews before deciding if they're to get the game, and when they'll use the complains of the reviewer without even having played the game )

I know GothicGothicness, and these kinds of critics are the one I adress here. I've seen too many reviews on good games where it is obvious that the one writing the review didn't spend enough time on the game. Unfortunately, PB has to take what people like them write into consideration when making a new game - in order to make a popular game, and not just a great one. Money controls the world, and that goes for the gaming world as well, I'm afraid.

Sem, where did you read this? I'd love to read the interview - the fighting system is one the things I really love about Gothic, and even though I know Gothic 3 will probably feature keyboard controls(at least as an option), I still worry due to all the critisism the system has gotten over the years.

The latest interview is already interview number 5 that Gothicworld managed to get from PB, I don't exactly know which one is was, but it was from an interview with Mike Hoge, from game design.

I've read that too, they probably didn't even reach Khorinis, but ran straight to some Orc, Snapper or Shadowbeast with their rusty sword.

Hehehe, yeah, that should pretty much kill any desire to ever play Gothic 2 again.

When I played the demo (german) that shadowbeast just made me play it more. There had to be a way to kill that beast, I just couldn't figure out why they would put such a strong creature there, if you weren't able to kill it with the equipment you had (freespace d'oh).

I remember I used a hexeditor, added a Paladins' armor, and killed it, hehe. Ahhh, the good ol'days.
