*****************************************************************

1. INSTALLING THE PLUGIN

*****************************************************************
To install the plugin, unzip Rogues.esp into the morrowind/data files
directory. You will need the Cloak Collection plugin installed for
this mod to work. You can download it here:

www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind
www.morrowindfiles.com
*****************************************************************

2. PLAYING THE PLUGIN

*****************************************************************
From the Morrowind Launcher, select Data Files and check the box
next to the "Rogues.esp" file.

This mod will add rogues and bandits to the game, who will try to ambush you during the night. There are five types of rogues, with the weakest being easy to kill for lvl1 characters, while the strongest can be fatal to all but the best characters. There is also a chance you'll be ambushed by two or even three roques at the same time. The rogues of different types all get random weapons from a specific type, so there is also variety between rogues of the same type. The rogues use either throwing knives, throwing stars, darts, daggers or short swords, and are armoured in light armor of various kinds.
*****************************************************************

3. SAVE GAMES

*****************************************************************
This Plugin will not invalidate your old saved games. If you save
your game while this plugin is loaded, you may encounter error
messages when you reload the saved game without the plugin. But
you will be able to continue on with the original game.
*****************************************************************

6. BUGFIXES

*****************************************************************
1.1:
Fixed compatibility issues with various mods, Rogues no longer uses the main script.
Fixed the bounty-bug, you no longer get a bounty for killing rogues.
This mod is no longer dependent on the Cloak Collection mod

1.2:
Most guards now attack rogues (GIANTS2 required for this function).
Rogues wont spawn as often indoors.

1.3:
Cleaned the mod with TESAME
Scripts will automatically activate if you start a new game.

Make sure you read the readme carefully on how to activate this mod if you are to continue with an old savegame.

But it still complains that a reference to RogueStart can't be found, even in 1.3, and even with a new save from a newly started game.

how very odd. I'll take a look (surprisingly this was tested by Iamhere and he find no issues)

while we are talking about it: It tested the plugin with a lvl 15 redguard to see the more powerful rogues coming up on me. Might I say that the one I encountered was a little bit too powerful? It took me 3 minutes in god mode with a glass longsword and str of 93 to kill him *g*

Oops, this load error only happens with the very first save game I made after leaving the census office - all others are ok.

Sorry.

Hehe, the strongest one has Glass items, and his stats/skills (agi/speed, short blade/light armor/athletics/marksman) are 200 *g*. And if you are up for a even tougher challenge go to berandas (the dunmer fortress southeast of gnisis) with the cloak collection mod enabled. You'll find a rather agressive warrior standing there wearing a rather neat cloak. If you decide to go there I strongly suggest a couple of hundred health potions: That guy killed my lvl44 warrior AC190+ in exactly one hit

ps. I did *not* make them lvled creatures. They are scripted, and you can encounter even the strongest rogues at lvl1. If you are weak you better not travel during the night, hehe.
