Asheron's Call 2: Euro Hosting Info

'Asheron's Call II' is going to be hosted by Jolt in Europe (after Turbine re-acquired the AC franchise from MS earlier this year) and there's an official post from Turbine with details on the transition to Jolt at the official forums today.

In UK ?!

As I undestand these servers are to be placed in the uk? How stupid is turbine?! UK is the most retarded country in EU when it comes to bandwith. There is absolutly nothing with worse bandwith and ping then to try to reach anything in the uk from anywhere in the eu.

All of EVE Online's servers are hosted in London. I played EVE for 13 months from N. America, and the only connectivity issues I had were related to the game's own server hardware, not the British network infrastructure.

Is it really that much worse from the EU? I would have thought you'd have better ping than I get from across the Atlantic.
