Yes... EA have ruined companies like Westwood and Origin, if EA buys Ubisoft there will be no hope for Might and Magic and HoMM5 ( actually in development ) |

EA want a monopoly on all publishing and as it is going now they will have it pretty soon. At least as far as international publishers, there may still be the odd tiny self publishing developer or a local publisher for one region, but EA will dominate everything if they don't screw up. _________________ “Everyone’s a girl when they’re face down.” |

C'mon, Guest, the M&M games are dead already. As for the Heroes 5, so far, there has not been an official announcement for anything HMM5 sounding. The only M&M game so far we know is in development, is HoMM Online, which, on the other hand, has the chance to get of out of China equals zero.
I frankly don't care if EA buys Ubi off. Ubi are known to me for publishing great games in the genres I like. I know it will get bad for everything if the EA get their dirty hands on a major publisher/developer like Ubi, but things are so bad for RPGs and TBS games these days, that frankly I just don't care. |

It's not true, HoMM5 has not been officially annunced yet, but we know for sure that it's in development. |

I know, but you are aware that until we get an official announcement it is as close to not being developed at all? And anyway, nowhere has been said that it is internally developed at Ubi, they may have reached an agreement with another developing company, like Nival (as the rumours go)?
Although, it may be good if Nival are developing it, the did the not that bad Etherlords, which had great graphics, although the gameplay was not that great. |

We were hoping the subscription money would make us rich and let us hire Tom Chick and Mark Asher...but then we realised we didn't actually *have* subscriptions and we were stuck with volunteers -- including some for whom English isn't their first language. Honestly, it sucks. Could we at least afford Greg Kasavin?
Must be difficult to run a simple paragraph through a spell checker. Or at least babblefish.

The guy has a point. If a basic spell checker can pick it up, there is no excuse. Dhruin knows fine well that there are plenty non-native English speakers/writers who can write perfect English, or at least work out how to use a spell checker. He was just being facetious. I find it hard to believe that RPG Dot is so desperate it has to accept staff who cannot even write a paragraph of proper English. What is next, news updates in “leet speak”?
It isn't a big problem, as long as you don't let it connect to the front page, but the forums are a big part of this place and it does not reflect well upon the site. _________________ “Everyone’s a girl when they’re face down.” |
