... and my god, wasn't the ending rubbish.
In a game whose strengths are people and landscapes, why would you conceivably set the finale in a bunch of identical caves devoid of people?
And was there some point to recruiting a crew, who I didn't see between stepping off the ship and returning to it when all the work was done?
Poor, poor, poor.
We should have returned to the Valley of Mines at the head of the Paladins and liberated the old camp - that would have been a finale.
Disappointed. |

You are so right. But I think that the reason for endig Gothic 2 like that was
only because of the story in gothic 3 or the addon.I was a little disapointed
too because of the Undead Dragon(it wasn't that hard to kill and I espected something different) |

I wasnīt disappointed about the ending, I rather think itīs better than Gothicīs. The island was of course weak compared to the Sleeper temple.
You had to hire a crew to make sure you can still enhance your stats and buy equipment.
The add-on takes place in chapter 1 and 2 (before you enter the old world). The main game is heavily changed and competely rebalanced. Iīm still in chapter 2, so Iīm not sure how much has been changed later in the game. All I can say is the game feels much more complete with the add-on. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

yeah and we are still waiting very impatiantly for the english version of the addon
the fact that you have to take allt he poeple with you on the boat is cool but i had expect them to have a bigger role on the island then staying on board besides that the ending wasnt very clear to me, what the hell did xardas there and if he knew th elocation and could telepport himself there he could do the same with the unnamed hero and why did he have to take the dragons spirit huh it's pure evil and he still is a necromancer i bet this will get us into trouble n the addon a wellstill wating impatiantly sigh _________________ The unknown hero's will not be forgotten, everyday they risk their lives in virtual reality thus saving millions of worlds. |
